Vice Ganda breaks box office record again

The comedian's new movie, "The Super Parental Guardians", made more than P500 million

2 Jan - Vice Ganda has broken his own record through the new movie, "The Super Parental Guardians", when it became the country's highest grossing local movie of all time.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the movie, which also stars Ganda's previous co-star Coco Martin, made more than P500 million despite still showing in more than 70 provincial theatres.

The Joyce Bernal movie broke Ganda's own 2015 Wenn Deramas movie, "Beauty and the Bestie", which made P526 million at the box office.

Star Cinema has been doing well movie-wise this year, with eight movies making more than P100 million. This includes "Barcelona: A Love Untold" that made P320 million at the box office.

Ganda is currently on a vacation to the Vatican City with his family.
