Ventura County Road Remains Closed to Repair 'Extensive Damage' From Winter Storms

California’s State Route 33 will remain partially closed in Ventura County through the summer as crews work to repair “extensive damage” from winter storms, the state’s Department of Transportation said.

The road was closed in January following a series of damaging storms. This footage was released by Caltrans District 7, who said it was captured as rock scalers inflated an air bag to force loose boulders off a slope at post mile 18.4. Credit: Caltrans District 7 via Storyful
