Vehicles Sink After Parking on Thin Lake Ice

Several vehicles were seen sinking into the waters of Lake Pepin near Old Frontenac, Minnesota, on Saturday, January 21.

Footage recorded by Derek Allyn Hanson shows one vehicle speeding away through puddles on the surface of the lake. Pictures show at least four vehicles askew, sinking into the water.

An eyewitness told local media that at least six vehicles fell through the ice on Saturday

Local media, citing the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, said nobody was hurt and the vehicles were able to be towed out of the lake.
