Vehicles Set Ablaze as Unrest Continues in Lyon, France

Violence continued for the seventh day in Lyon, France, on March 10, with vehicles set aflame.

Video taken by Twitter user @Mehdi_Aifa_AJR shows flames and a haze of smoke over the city. As per Google Translate, according to local news reports, a shed and at least 5 cars were set ablaze.

The violence may be linked to a scooter accident on March 3, according to France3, when a 13-year-old boy was seriously injured. While residents claimed they saw the boy being chased by an unmarked police car, the police have denied such accounts, tweeting on March 4 the allegations were “fake news.” Credit: @Mehdi_Aifa_AJR via Storyful
