The premiere of Riverdale season five is less than a month away, which means everyday we're hearing more and more information about what's to come in this long-awaited season. As of now, we know there will be a prom, a time jump, and...a pregnancy. Yup, Vanessa Morgan, who is expecting a son IRL, just revealed that her pregnancy will be written into the new season of the show.

In a post on Instagram, Vanessa shared that she is finally on maternity leave after finishing up filming. "Feeling grateful to my showrunner & producers for being so accommodating & writing my pregnancy into the show!" she wrote. "Also proud of my body for allowing me to still work almost 9 months preggo. Now time to have a baby!"

Vanessa, who is pregnant with her first child, is due at the end of January. That means she has been showing for awhile now, so it's no surprise that the writers decided to incorporate the pregnancy into the show. Right now, it's unclear how exactly the baby will get explained in the storyline. Personally, I'm hoping for a Choni baby, but first we will have to see if Toni Topaz and Cheryl Blossom's relationship even makes it through the time jump.
