Vanessa Hudgens welcomes first baby with husband Cole Tucker
"Mom dad and baby are happy and healthy," the "High School Musical" alum wrote on social media.
High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens and her husband, professional baseball player Cole Tucker, have welcomed their first child together.
"Mom dad and baby are happy and healthy," Hudgens wrote in an Instagram Story on Thursday.
The couple, who married last year, were seen leaving a Santa Monica hospital with Hudgens in a wheelchair, holding a bundled baby in photographs published by TMZ on Wednesday.
"We're disappointed that our family's privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media," Hudgens wrote in her July 4 post.
Representatives for Hudgens did not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly’s request for comment.
The news comes four months after Hudgens debuted her baby bump while walking the 96th Academy Awards red carpet in April.
The photographs were captured on the same day that Tucker celebrated his 28th birthday. Hudgens shared a carousel of photos on Instagram to mark the occasion.
“Happy birthday to my slice of heaven @cotuck,” she wrote. “You make the world a brighter place just by being you.”
In May, the Tick, Tick, BOOM actress opened up to E! News about one aspect of motherhood that she’s definitely looking forward to: sharing her career with her children.
"I'll show my kids all my work," Hudgens told the outlet. "That's why I chose things along the way in my career. I wanted to make sure that when I did have kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age."

Hudgens and Tucker, who originally ignited dating rumors in November 2020, tied the knot in Tulum, Mexico on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. In the days leading up to their secret wedding, the duo were photographed snapping beach photos with Hudgens in a white dress. They later detailed the specifics of their “magical” day in an interview with Vogue.
“I am so grateful that we got to have a private wedding,” Hudgens told the outlet. “Literally talking about it right now, I’m getting teary-eyed. I couldn’t have dreamt it to be any better. I knew it was going to be magical, but it exceeded my expectations.”
