'UVA Strong': Tributes to Shooting Victims Displayed on Charlottesville Bus

Tributes to three college football players killed in a shooting at the University of Virginia (UVA) in Charlottesville on Sunday, November 13, were displayed on the front of a bus in Charlottesville on Tuesday.

The digital board on the bus displayed four messages, one after the other: “Remember Devin”, “Remember D’Sean”, “Remember Lavel” and “UVA Strong.”

Video of the bus was posted by Lee Dudley, a student-athlete at UVA, who said he spotted the signs on the way home from UVA’s football facility.

During a press conference on Monday, UVA President James Ryan said three students, Lavel Davis Jr, Devin Chandler and D’Sean Perry, who were all members of the UVA football team, were shot as students were returning to campus on a charter bus after a class field trip.

Police said a suspect, 22-year-old UVA student Christopher Darnell Jr, was arrested on Monday morning. Credit: Lee Dudley via Storyful
