US Coast Guard Evacuates Victims of Haiti Earthquake as Death Toll Rises

United States Coast Guard evacuated victims of Haiti’s devastating earthquake on August 15, as the death toll from the disaster rose.

At least 1,419 people were confirmed to have died as a result of the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that struck the Caribbean nation on August 14, according to Haiti’s civil protection agency.
