KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 — A church in the United States is reaching out to Hong Kong entertainer Adam Cheng after his estranged daughter was found dead at her South California home recently.

Angelina Cheng On Ye, who was Adam's child from his his marriage to Lu Huiru, was found dead on September 28 but authorities could not locate Lu. They are now urging Adam to come forward to attend to Angelina's final rites, hk01.com reported.

According to the portal, Angelina, 55, was brought up by Lu following her separation from Adam. Recently, Angelina only met Adam when he performed at Las Vegas.

Angelina's death was discovered after her friends grew concerned as they could not get in touch with her.

Adam, 76, previously told media that he had paid for Angelina's tertiary education and lost contact with her after that.

"If I were to meet her on the streets now, I may not be able to recognise her," he reportedly said.

Besides Angelina, Adam shares one daughter Joyche Cheng with late comedian Lydia Sum and two daughters with his current wife Guan Jinghua.
