KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 (Bernama) -- Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) will host the 2020 higher education institutions (HEIs) entrance programme carnival (Jom Masuk IPT 2020), Zone 5, to be held at Amanjaya Convention Centre Casuarina, Meru, Perak, on March 14 and 15.
UPSI vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohammad Shatar Sabran, in a statement today, said that the programme organised by the Higher Education Ministry, will involve 80 exhibition booths from public universities, polytechnics, private higher institutions, community colleges, public skills training institutes (ILKA) and 14 agencies including the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) and Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).
He said visitors, especially school students, teachers and parents can receive consultation on various opportunities to continue higher learning and programmes offered, based on the student’s academic qualifications.
Mohamad Shatar said visitors can also get guidance at the UPSI booth on intake requirements, for UPSI is offering 62 programmes which are Bachelor of Education degree programmes, 15 non-education bachelor degree programmes and 12 diploma programmes.
“Besides that, they can get to know the application methods and the important dates,” he said.
The 2020 HEIs entrance carnival programme will be held in three other zones, namely Zone 6 at the Terengganu Sports Complex indoor stadium, Kuala Nerus (March 14 and 15), Zone 7 at Borneo Convention Centre, Kuching (March 21 and 22) and Zone 8 at the Malaysian Agricultural Expo, Serdang (MAEPS) (March 28 and 29).
