BUSINESSES

- Tesco Mutiara Damansara

Tesco announced that seven other employees here tested positive for Covid-19, after close contact with one employee who tested positive on Oct 14.

All infected staff were last at the store on Oct 14, while information of all who scanned the MySejahtera QR code at the outlet in the relevant period, have been handed over to the ministry for contact tracing.

Tesco Mutiara Damansara has suspended all deliveries for online purchases and will close the store on Oct 24 for contact tracing and Oct 25 for disinfection.

- RHB Bank, Menara Capital Square, Kuala Lumpur

RHB Bank Berhad said in a statement an employee in an office on the 13th floor of the building has tested positive for Covid-19.

The office will be closed tomorrow for sanitisation while those in close contact with the employee are being quarantined at home, it added.

- Batu Maung wet market, Georgetown, Penang

The Star reported the Batu Maung wet market in Georgetown was closed since yesterday after a visitor tested positive.

The market will be closed for two weeks and 18 traders will have to undergo Covid-19 tests, according to the report.

- Baker's Cottage, Desa Pandan, Kuala Lumpur

The management via its Facebook page announced an employee in its Desa Pandan Outlet tested positive for Covid-19 after she got tested yesterday.

Her last workday was Oct 17. However, the outlet was immediately closed yesterday for cleaning and sanitation.

- Sea Park Market, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The market is closed after a trader tested positive, Kampung Tunku assemblyperson Lim Yi Wei said.

"All traders and shoppers, especially those who have visited the market in the past 14 days, are urged to stay calm and observe self-quarantine until they receive a call from the Ministry of Health for contact tracing," she said.

EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

- SK Taman Melati, Kuala Lumpur

Two students were tested positive on Oct 20. Their families were brought to Sungai Buloh Hospital for check-up. It was learnt that the teachers and students in close contact with the duo had undergone screening on Oct 21.

Wangsa Maju MP Tan Yee Kew confirmed the cases with Malaysiakini.

RESIDENCES

- Taman Perumahan Samudera, Sandakan, Sabah

The Samudera cluster was traced to this residential area, Sabah Local Government and Housing Masidi Manjun said.

The index case was detected through symptomatic screening.

Seven of the index case's close contacts tested positive, including two today.

- Spring Avenue Residence, Kuchai Lama

The management in a notice to residents today informed that an occupant has just been tested positive for Covid-19.

Security guards have been instructed to prohibit visitors wearing the quarantine wrist bands from entering the building, it added.

- Desa Mutiara flat, Mutiara Damansara, Selangor

Bukit Lanjan assemblyperson Elizabeth Wong confirmed with Malaysiakini that yesterday, one resident from Desa Mutiara flat in Mutiara Damansara, was taken to Sungai Buloh Hospital after testing positive.

She said today the common area of the block will be sanitised.

- Selesa I-Resort Apartment, Kajang, Selangor

China Press reported a resident from Block A tested positive. In the management's notice to residents, the patient was found positive on Oct 21. The patient was sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
