'Unreal' Lightning Flashes Through Austin Sky

Lightning streaked across the sky above Austin on the evening of Thursday, March 16, as a line of storms moved across central Texas, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The NWS warned of wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny-sized hail as the storms moved across central Texas.

Severe thunderstorms and large hail were also reported in other parts of the state.
