United Parcel Service (UPS) Surpasses Q3 Earnings and Revenue Estimates

United Parcel Service (UPS) came out with quarterly earnings of $2.28 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.86 per share. This compares to earnings of $2.07 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 22.58%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this package delivery service would post earnings of $1.04 per share when it actually produced earnings of $2.13, delivering a surprise of 104.81%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates three times.

UPS, which belongs to the Zacks Transportation - Air Freight and Cargo industry, posted revenues of $21.24 billion for the quarter ended September 2020, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 5.77%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $18.32 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates three times over the last four quarters.
