Ulrika Jonsson is hoping to ‘get back on track in her search for love’ by signing up to E4’s Celebs Go Dating.

The dating series will return in the new year and is currently being filmed, with Jonsson joining stars including Abz from 5ive, and The Apprentice’s Ryan-Mark Parsons.

The 54-year-old former Gladiators host split from her third husband Brian Monet in April 2019, following an 11-year relationship.

Speaking about her stint on the new dating show, Jonsson said: “Three years ago I got divorced, I hadn’t anticipated being single at my age.

“I’m enjoying it but I look forward to working with Anna and Paul, I’m sure they will have me back on track to finding love in no time.”

As part of the series, Jonsson will put her romantic life in the hands of dating expert Paul Carrick Brunson and life coach Anna Williamson, as part of their dating agency alongside Tom Read-Wilson.

Ahead of the show’s release, Brunson said: “This series will be an exciting experiment to see how our celebs deal with dating now the world is returning to a more normal way of life.

“This series line-up is very eclectic, and I can’t wait to get stuck right in with helping them find love.”

The show has been running since 2016, with 10 series including a virtual series in the midst of coronavirus and a socially-bubbled series, The Mansion, where celebs where holed up in a stately home.

Jasmine was kicked off her previous dating show following her “unacceptable” behaviour towards her fellow cast members just a week into the experiment, but she’s hoping Celebs Go Dating will show a different side to her.

“I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to join the agency and have the agents help me find love. I have learned a lot about myself in recent months, but I know I still have a long way to go,” she said.

“I want guys to understand that even though I am loud, I do have a super-soft centre and I hope the agents can help me do this!”

Celebs Go Dating is produced by Lime Pictures and airs on E4 in 2022.
