Ukrainian Emergency Workers Rescue Cat From Destroyed Building Near Kyiv
Ukrainian emergency workers rescued a cat from the seventh floor of a bombed-out residential building in Borodyanka, a town in the Kyiv region, after the animal was abandoned for reportedly two months.
ZooPatrol, an animal rescue service, said the cat had arthritis and was in stable condition.
This video shared by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) on May 2 shows rescuers retrieving the animal from the building.
“In a village where you can still smell death, a small miracle happened,” SES wrote. Credit: State Emergency Service of Ukraine via Storyful
