Children sang carols in a bomb shelter as Christmas festivities began in Lviv, Ukraine, despite air alarms sounding on Friday, January 6.
Videos posted by Mayor Andriy Sadovyi on Friday – Christmas Eve per the Julian Calendar used by Orthodox churches – show the start of traditional Ukrainian festivities that continue until January 19.
The footage shows people celebrating in Lviv streets with military personnel, and children singing carols in a bomb shelter.
