“We aim to contribute now to help Ukraine chart a path toward future growth through recovery,” stated German Finance Minister Christian Lindner.

He emphasized that the focus is not solely on financial resources but also on building institutional capacity to support private companies in Ukraine and streamline investment.

Moreover, the German Ministry of Finance has directed the Development Bank (KfW) to evaluate the feasibility of a financial advisory project to aid the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, as reported by Reuters.

The article highlights that the capacity development project will be financed by the German Ministry of Finance, with KfW overseeing its execution.

Signing of the relevant agreements is anticipated by the year’s end.

The agency notes that the declaration is not a treaty and does not establish rights or obligations under international law.

A conference is currently underway in Berlin on June 11-12 to rally international support for Ukraine’s recovery from the devastation wrought by Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is participating in the conference and plans to meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during his visit.
