Ukraine FM calls for special 'crime of aggression' court

STORY: Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said such a court would " fill the gap" as he said no jurisdiction was in charge of prosecuting the "crime of "aggression."

Speaking via videolink at a Lithuanian conference in war crimes, he added the court is "not meant to replace any of the existing international courts and tribunals dealing with various aspects of Russia's aggression."

He said the initiative is getting large support globally with a petition reaching 2 million signatures.

"Such broad global support demonstrates that the momentum to proceed is certainly there," he said.
