Security officials in Kampala, including police and army, were seen strictly enforcing Uganda's latest Covid-19 lockdown on Thursday 24 June. They were seen operating checkpoints and taking suspected offenders away in trucks. President Yoweri Museveni, has declared a 42-day lockdown following an upsurge of coronavirus cases in Uganda. The lockdown regulations included a ban on private and public transport, except for essential workers.
