An eyewitness captured the moment an Afghan woman passed over the wall of Kabul airport on Friday with the help of U.S. soldiers.
Taliban and NATO officials said a total of 12 people have been killed in and around the airport of the Afghan capital Kabul, since the Taliban seized the city on Sunday.
According to the Taliban, the deaths were caused either by gun shots or in stampedes, as the militant group urged people still crowded at the gates of the facility to go home if they did not have the legal right to travel.
Scenes of chaos have unfolded in Kabul since the Taliban entered the Afghan capital over the weekend. Many fear a return to the austere interpretation of Islamic law imposed during the previous Taliban rule that ended 20 years ago.
