U.S. will 'process' asylum seekers stuck in Mexico -WH

"The Department of Homeland Security will take steps to begin processing individuals who under the previous administration have been forced to remain in Mexico under the migrant protection protocol," White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Friday.

The moves are part of a plan by the administration of President Joe Biden to end the program, known as the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), an effort complicated by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and concerns over illegal immigration.
