Gymnasts head to Tokyo for first Olympic meet

"This opportunity is huge for any athlete, not just gymnasts. We are in a weird time for sporting events and so this is our chance to really go out there and kind of make things feel normal again."
Japan, China, Russia, and America will compete
at a one-day international event on November 8
the first since the 2020 Games were postponed

"This whole year is filled with a lot of firsts so I am super excited. I feel like this is definitely an advantage for me because I have a chance to compete, I guess first technically since everything has happened, and see how it all goes."
