Two Russian missiles hit popular summer vacation spot

Five civilians, including a 7-month pregnant woman, were killed and 16 others, including an 8-year-old child, were injured in a Russian double-tap attack with Iskander-M ballistic missiles on a recreation area in Kharkiv Oblast, regional police and governor Oleh Synehubov reported on Telegram on May 19.

Eight wounded were hospitalized in serious condition.

A police officer and a paramedic who arrived to help were injured in the second strike, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

Two missiles hit a popular summer vacation spot on the shore of a reservoir in the suburbs of the administrative center of Kharkiv around 11 a.m. EET.

Several houses were destroyed, and an ambulance was damaged. Rescue efforts are ongoing.
