Two Navy helicopters crash during exhibition training at Lumut base

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 — Two military helicopters collided today during the Royal Malaysian Navy's (TLDM) rehearsal for its 90th anniversary celebration scheduled for May.

Perak police confirmed the incident, which was said to have happened near the stadium of TLDM's Lumut airbase.

“So far, the victims involved are not known. Further report will come soon,” Perak police chief, Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, was quoted saying by news agency Bernama.

It is understood that the collision involved an AW139 and a Fennec helicopter.
