Two Killed in Shelling on Apartment Block in Zaporizhzhia, City Officials Say

An early morning missile strike on a five-story apartment block in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, left at least two people dead, city officials said on Thursday, March 2.

Anatolii Kurtiev, the secretary of the city’s council, said people remained under the rubble and that emergency services were attending the scene.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) said it had rescued nine people, including a pregnant woman, and evacuated 20 others.
