Twitter had the perfect response to Elon Musk after he made a comment about pronouns
Elon Musk is not getting a lot of love on Twitter right now. After he made a disparaging comment about personal pronouns Twitter users were quick to respond to the Tesla founder, calling him out in the most expert way.
Late last night clean technology website Clean Technica shared an article to Twitter in which they called out Elon for a meme he shared earlier this week disparaging people who put their pronouns in their social media bios. The cartoon image showed a soldier with blood on his hands, surrounded by dead bodies and wearing a hat that said "I love to oppress", the caption read "When you put he/him in ur bio."
The article highlighted that this isn't the first time Musk has said something like this, stating that he once tweeted "pronouns suck" before deleting it. It then goes onto address Musk directly, saying, "Attacking marginalized [sic] people is never cool or funny. Attacking the people who support them is also uncool. Elon Musk’s recent tweet did both of these things, regardless of whether he meant to do that."
After the site tweeted the story yesterday afternoon Musk took to Twitter to respond, commenting, "I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare."
He then followed up this initial tweet with another claiming that his company scores very highly on LGBTQ+ equality, to which someone brilliantly responded:
Hi, former HRC press secretary here. Most of that score is based on 1) policies protecting against discrimination, such as respecting pronouns and 2) maintaining an inclusive culture, such as respecting pronouns. Points can also be deducted for things like... this tweet.

Luckily, Twitter works in quick and wonderful ways, and people were quick to remind the billionaire that he gave his child perhaps the most un-aesthetically-pleasing name going.
