Twitter Emotionally Reacts to Chadwick Boseman's Final Film, 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom'
Prior to his death in August, Chadwick Boseman was working on a number of movie projects, some of which had already completed production.
Now, Boseman's final film, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, has been released on Netflix, and fans have been reacting to the actor's incredible performance as trumpet player Levee in the movie.
Per the film's official press release:
"Tensions and temperatures rise over the course of an afternoon recording session in 1920s Chicago as a band of musicians await trailblazing performer, the legendary 'Mother of the Blues,' Ma Rainey (Viola Davis). Late to the session, the fearless, fiery Ma engages in a battle of wills with her white manager and producer over control of her music. As the band waits in the studio’s claustrophobic rehearsal room, ambitious cornet player Levee (Boseman)—who has an eye for Ma’s girlfriend and is determined to stake his own claim on the music industry—spurs his fellow musicians into an eruption of stories revealing truths that will forever change the course of their lives."
Here, viewers react to Boseman's final film and the posthumous release of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.

"The star of the show."
Chadwick Boseman is an absolute tour-de-force in #MaRaineyFilm . A mix of ego, fragility, and charisma as trumpet player Levee Green.
Of course, Viola Davis is amazing as usual. But Boseman is the star of the show. pic.twitter.com/42S3XdhTM5— Matthew Scrooge 🎄 (@filmguy619) December 19, 2020

Chadwick Boseman is unbelievable in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. You can't take your eyes off of him. The reviews don't do his performance justice and all of them are glowing.
