TVLine Items: FROM Season 3 Teaser, ACM Awards Performers and More

Harold Perrineau is living through another nightmare in the first teaser for FROM Season 3, premiering this fall on MGM+ (date TBA).

The series “unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter,” reads the official synopsis. “As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.”

In addition to Lost vet Perrineau, the cast includes Catalina Sandino Moreno (The Affair), Eion Bailey (Once Upon a Time), Hannah Cheramy (Van Helsing), Simon Webster (Strays), Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Chloe Van Landschoot (Charity, Skin), Corteon Moore (Utopia Falls), Pegah Ghafoori (The Perfect Wedding), David Alpay (Castle Rock), Elizabeth Saunders (Clarice), Elizabeth Moy and Avery Konrad (Honor Society).

Joining the show in Season 2 were Scott McCord (East of Middle West), Nathan D. Simmons (Diggstown), Kaelen Ohm (Hit & Run), Angela Moore (Maid), AJ Simmons (Reacher) and Deborah Grover (My Next Door Nightmare, Jann).

* This year’s Reba McEntire-hosted Academy of Country Music Awards, streaming Thursday, May 16 on Prime Video, will feature performances by Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson.

* Comedy Central’s The Daily Show will host a full week of shows from the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee (July 15-18) and the Democratic National Convention in Chicago (Aug. 19-22), respectively. Host and guest information will be announced at a later date.

* Nancy Travis (Last Man Standing) and Felix Avitia (Raven’s Home) have joined the NBC drama pilot Grosse Pointe Garden Society, from Good Girls creator Jenna Bans, our sister site Deadline reports.

* Roku has greenlit Best Bite Wins, a food competition series hosted by Josh Peck that “gamifies cocktail party culture, with professional chefs competing to present the best party food to hungry judges and clientele at real events.” Special events chef Monti Carlo will serve as the series’ culinary expert.

Additionally, Roku has ordered The Arch Project (working title), a docuseries from friends and longtime collaborators Gard Hollinger and Keanu Reeves, that explores where human creativity and ingenuity comes from.
