TVLine Items: Max Irons Is Young Sherlock’s Mycroft, Percy Jackson Casts Thalia and More

Hello, brother: Max Irons (Condor) will play Mycroft Holmes in Prime Video’s Young Sherlock series starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin as the titular character, our sister site Deadline reports.

Adapted from Andy Lane’s Young Sherlock Holmes books and written by Matthew Parkhill (Deep State), the show reimagines the titular detective as a 19-year-old “disgraced” and “unfiltered” young man embroiled in a murder mystery at Oxford University which threatens his freedom. He’ll delve into his first case with a lack of discipline and uncover a “globe-trotting conspiracy” that will change his life.

The Young Sherlock cast also includes Dónal Finn (as James Moriarty), Joseph Fiennes (Silas Holmes), Natascha McElhone (Cordelia Holmes), Zine Tseng (Princess Gulun Shou’an) and Colin Firth (Sir Bucephalus Hodge). Guy Ritchie will direct the eight-episode series and executive-produce alongside Parkhill.
