Samsung 65
Hey, it's a Neo television powered by Quantum Matrix technology! We're red-pilling for this model big-time! (Photo: Samsung)

For some of us, our brand of TV is like our brand of toothpaste or ketchup — we grew up with it, we've loved it, and it's always done right by us. So it is with Samsung, a leader in the home-entertainment-component biz since our grandparents' time. We're all for that kind of brand loyalty when the products are this consistently great.

With that in mind: Seriously, how beautiful is this 65-inch Neo? This is the 2021 model, but don't let that scare you off, because this baby is strictly state-of-the-art. Its Quantum Matrix Technology delivers the blackest blacks and the most vivid full-spectrum color you're likely to come across, in addition to AI upscaling that'll make even old or substandard content look all 21st century. It is, of course, powered by a 4K processor.

Oh, and have we mentioned: It's $1,300 off?!

Think this is pretty? Imagine how awesome movie night will be! (Photo: Walmart)

Who needs a TV that's diagonally as tall as a 12-year-old? You do! Especially when it's $150 off its usual price. This Samsung 4K Crystal UHD Smart TV features 2160p definition (and, unlike the case with the 24" set we discussed earlier, at 60 inches all those pixels make a big difference). The eponymous 4K Crystal processor not only makes contemporary programming and movies look their best, it will upscale even decades-old content to high-def standards. (good news for you Turner Classic Movies fans). Its Tizen OS provides for quick switching among your apps and channels, while Auto Game mode will automatically optimize the screen and keep input lag to a minimum, a godsend for video gamers.

"Definitely the only brand I will buy," said one Samsung devotee. "This [set] is very responsive, comes with a plethora of apps for streaming services (some free without a paid streaming subscription!) and Samsung TV, which is almost as good as cable. [It] connects to your phone to control as a remote." He continued, "I love how it's almost frameless. I don't really have any complaints." Us neither.
