The life of late footballing legend Jack Charlton is explored in a new documentary on BBC Two tonight. 

It's not the only programme to centre a late star this evening either as Coronation Street star Johnny Briggs' time on the cobbles is remembered by cast and fans of the long-running soap. 

Following an explosive cliffhanger last week, Unforgotten also returns with one more episode of the latest series.

Meanwhile, Amir Khan and his family get the reality show treatment.

Upcycling is the aim of the game in new BBC Two series Saved and Remade, fronted by Sabrina Grant. 

Owners bring in their unused treasures for them to be transformed by a team of expert crafters into something useable. 

The first items set to be repurposed in this new series include a wedding dress, a tea trolley, and and old propellor.

Corrie star Johnny Briggs is remembered in a TV tribute a month after his death aged 85 from a long illness.

He appeared in the soap as Cockney businessman Mike Baldwin for 30 years, enjoying a famous rivalry with soap stalwart Ken Barlow. 

Actors past and present remember working with the late legend while famous fans also recall his biggest storylines.

The fourth series of the gripping crime drama concludes this evening as more details of the night Matthew Walsh died come to light. 

The detectives begin to piece together just who was responsible for the murder out of the four suspects, but pathologist Leanne Balcombe (Georgia Mackenzie) provides the final and most crucial piece of evidence.

Filmed over 18 months before his death in July 2020, this documents takes a close look at the life of footballer and manager Jack Charlton.

Directed by Gabriel Clarke and Pete Thomas, the film follows the World Cup-winning sportsman's appointment as manager of Ireland's men's team in 1985 and his relationship with the nation. 

It also takes more intimate turns as it examines the relationship between himself and brother Bobby, and his battle with dementia toward the end of his life.

Amir Khan and his influencer wife Faryal Makhdoom turn reality stars in a new BBC series which first airs tonight, although all episodes are available to watch on iPlayer. 

The first double bill sees the boxer left in charge of their three children while his spouse heads off to a photoshoot.
