Tuscan Village Blanketed in Snow

A depression brought snowfall and bad weather to parts of Tuscany, Italy, on January 6, as the area fell under a weather warning from the country’s Civil Protection Department.

In a statement issued January 5, the Civil Protection Department said they had put in place a yellow alert on several regions including Tuscany, Lazio, and Umbria for Wednesday, January 6.

3BMeteo reported that a large depression area has brought a continuous descent of cold currents from northeastern Europe, resulting in some scattered showers with snowfall across much of central-north Italy.
