and to raise awareness about air pollution

(SOUNDBITE) (French) PROJECT COORDINATOR AT TUNISIAN ASSOCIATION FOR PROMOTION OF BICYCLE USE VELORUTION TUNISIA, BOCHRA MENSI, SAYING:

"Velorution Tunisia and the Tunisian transport and logistics ministry are for the first time marking the World Car-Free Day. Actually, this day aims to reduce the use of private cars and so it really promotes ecological transport. Why? In order to reduce traffic and to fight against air pollution. It is recommended to use public transportation, bicycles and also commute on foot."

"Hopefully, the day will come in Tunisia when the state policy focuses on preserving the ocean and the clear air we breath because this is very important. We must reduce carbon dioxide emissions."
