Tsuyoshi Domoto to leave Smile-Up?

16 Feb - Rumours are rife that Tsuyoshi Domoto may be leaving Smile-Up, the agency previously known as Johnny & Associates.

A Japanese news outlet recently stated that the news was shared by a source related to the entertainment industry, who said that Domoto had said in the past that he would leave the company if the now disgraced media mogul Johnny Kitagawa passed away.

It was stated that the KinKi Kids member again expressed his intention to do so last year, as the company faced turmoil over Johnny's past sexual misconducts against its artistes, and had to undergo major reforms including changing its name.

"Actually, Domoto is at the point where he was going to renew his contract, but it is reported that he has changed his mind and has decided to leave instead," said an insider.

In addition, the report also mentioned that Domoto's decision to leave the company may have something to do with his marriage to Kanako Momota, a member of the girl group Momoiro Clover Z earlier this year, which has made him think more about the future.
