President-elect Donald Trump was on a charm offensive in the city of love, as he checked in on the United Kingdom’s royals and even complimented Prince William’s dashing appearance while on international duty in Paris.

Trump represented the U.S. on the world stage as he visited the Notre-Dame Cathedral in the French capital to mark its reopening after it was decimated by a blaze five years ago.

The 78-year-old made headlines as he claimed to be getting on well with incumbent First Lady Jill Biden, talked world peace with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron—and became besties with Italy’s “live wire” conservative Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, per The New York Post.

In amongst all of this, he had time for a rendezvous with Prince William, who was only confirmed as attending in King Charles’ place on Friday.

The pair met at the cathedral and enjoyed some small talk before a one-to-one at the residence of the British ambassador in Paris.

And Trump dished to The Post about his “great talk” with the prince. On the 40-minute chat, he said: “I asked him about his wife and he said she’s doing well. And I asked him about his father and his father is fighting very hard, and he loves his father and he loves his wife, so it was sad. We had a great talk for half an hour, a little more than half an hour. We had a great, great talk.”

Trump was referencing the recent royal health battles of William’s wife, Kate Middleton, and father, King Charles, who were both diagnosed with cancer this year.

Trump lightened the mood and reportedly commented on the prince’s good looks, too. He told the aforementioned title: “He’s a good looking guy. He looked really, very handsome last night. Some people look better in person? He looked great. He looked really nice, and I told him that.”

In a comment to the BBC, Kensington Palace described the meeting between as “warm and friendly.”
