Truck Toppled as Cold Front Brings Powerful Winds to Washington State

A truck was toppled over on the Deception Pass Bridge in Washington state on November 15, as a powerful cold front brought wind gusts of up to 93 mph to the state’s north.

The National Weather Service recorded winds of up to 63 mph in Island County where this incident occurred. The most powerful gust during the weather event was 93 mph recorded at Mount Baker.

The severe wind and rainstorm prompted Washington Governor Jay Inslee to declare a severe weather state of emergency in 14 counties.
