Tropical Storm Nicole Impacts West Florida

West Florida was subject to strong winds and heavy rain as Tropical Storm Nicole moved across the state after making landfall in the east on the morning of November 10.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm made landfall as a hurricane south of Vero Beach, with maximum sustained wind speeds of 75 mph.

The National Weather Service reported gusts of 50-60 mph in western Florida while the storm moved over central Florida.
