Tropical Storm Isaias Uproots Trees, Cuts Power Across New Jersey

Thousands of people were left without power after Tropical Storm Isaias felled trees and electric lines across New Jersey on August 4, local media reported.

There were more than 784,000 power outages reported throughout New Jersey, according to Gov Phil Murphy. Downed trees and power lines also prompted various road closures, reports said.

“We are so lucky that this tree did not crash through our house or for the other way onto Michael’s car,” Snyder said on Facebook. Credit: Vienna Kinsey Snyder via Storyful
