The remnants of Tropical Depression Ida brought heavy rain and windy conditions to parts of northern Alabama overnight on August 30.
The National Weather Service warned of flash flooding in Alabama, Mississippi, and the Tennessee Valley.
Ida had maximum sustained winds of up to 30 mph (45 km/h), according to the National Hurricane Center’s latest update.
