Tropical Cyclone Warning Issued as Heavy Flooding Hits Fiji

Fiji’s Meteorological Service issued a tropical cyclone warning on January 29, as damaging gale force winds are expected to hit the island nation.

“With the continuous rain in the last few days and ground already saturated, there’s also risk of landslides. Therefore, all communities living in flood and landslide prone areas need to remain alert and take precautions when necessary,” the Fiji Meteorological Service said. Credit: Jope Matavesi via Storyful
