Raging winds lash Sabtang Island in the Philippines. Trees sway and grass moves as Super Typhoon Chanthu, locally named Kiko, hit the northernmost region of the Philippines on Saturday, September 11. Chanthu brought violent winds as it approached the Batanes group of islands and made landfall on Ivana, Batanes at around 8.30 am. It packed maximum sustained winds of 215 kph and gusts of 265 kph, according to the local weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
