Travis Kelce Says Donald Trump Attending Super Bowl Would Be ‘A Great Honor’

Travis Kelce was asked by reporters Wednesday to share his thoughts on President Donald Trump reportedly planning to attend the Super Bowl in New Orleans.

“It’s a great honor,” the Kansas City Chiefs star said. “I think you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there — it’s the best country in the world — and that’s pretty cool.”

While Trump’s attendance would mark the first time a sitting president has ever attended the Super Bowl, recently, Trump criticized Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, for opting to endorse former Vice President Kamala Harris in last year’s presidential election. And it didn’t stop there, either.

“It was just a question of time,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy about Swift over the phone in September, adding: “But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”

Trump doubled down on his Truth Social platform four days later, writing: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

Swift was widely criticized last summer by a substantial portion of her fanbase after Trump used her likeness to fake her endorsement, only for Swift to address that “misinformation” on Instagram and officially endorse Harris.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” she wrote at the time, adding: “I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

Whether Swift and Kelce have clashing political perspectives remains private. However, the pair will be front and center at the big game Sunday, where Kelce cheekily hinted at his thoughts about a halftime proposal.
