Travis Kelce reveals why he is 'proud' of girlfriend Taylor Swift

American football star Travis Kelce has revealed how he keeps his Love Story with pop superstar Taylor Swift under wraps.

Speaking to the Bussin' With The Boys podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said that while privacy was important, he was "proud" of his musician girlfriend.

"You want to keep things private, but at the same time, like, I'm not here to hide anything. That's my girl, you know what I mean? That's my lady, so it's like... I'm proud of that," Kelce, 34, said.

"I'm not sitting here trying to juggle like, 'how can I keep this under wraps?' You just don't want to let everyone into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline."

Kelce and Swift, also 34, have been in a relationship for almost a year and the Grammy-winning musician has thrilled fans by appearing at her boyfriend's football games, including going on the pitch at the Super Bowl in February.

The football player has returned the favour and travelled around the world in recent months supporting the star on her Eras Tour.

Kelce even went one step further on Sunday night at the third of her eight shows at Wembley this summer when he appeared on stage with Swift and two of her dancers.

Despite her "crazy" worldwide fame, Kelce admitted that her "chill" approach to stardom was one of the reasons he fell for her.

"She's very self-aware," he said. "She understands situations like that and I think that's why I really started to fall for her, how genuine she is just around friends and family.

"It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention and she keeps it so chill and so cool and I can admire it for sure."

Kelce also revealed that paparazzi have been "the craziest thing" that came with the high-profile relationship.

"Definitely the pulling up to the house, just random, I don't know…

"It's a different demographic than the NFL, so it's been cool to dabble in that and see her following and everything.

"It's been fun because a lot more kids are into the game and the Chiefs fans have turned into a lot of her fans. And her fans have turned into Chiefs fans, so I've had fun with every aspect of it.

"But when you're at home, you want privacy, and you don't always get that."
