Travis Kelce Jokes He 'Didn't Do Nothing' During His Bye Week — Despite His Big N.Y.C. Trip with Taylor Swift
The couple enjoyed dinner out on consecutive nights and took in a Yankees playoff game with friends
Despite the photographic evidence that Travis Kelce had a fun weekend with girlfriend Taylor Swift in New York City, the tight end is jokingly staying quiet on how he spent his bye week.
In a Kansas City Chiefs TikTok, Kelce was tight-lipped about what he did during the team’s week off.
“I didn’t do nothing,” he said with a smirk. “I ain’t did nothing.”
The NFL star shook his head, stifled a smile and kept walking, while teammates answered the question seemingly more truthfully.
Various Chiefs players said they spent time with family, vacationed in the Caribbean and one player even said he went to a Renaissance festival.
Meanwhile, Kelce was welcomed in New York by his girlfriend of a year-plus, Taylor Swift.
The couple dined out consecutive nights while in the city — including with Swift’s BFF Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds — and took in a New York Yankees playoff game in the Bronx on Monday, Oct. 14.
And Kelce did spill all the details on their weekend away on the Wednesday, Oct. 16 episode of his New Heights podcast with brother Jason Kelce.
“It was mixed feelings because I was there trying to have some fun with Tay and everybody. All our friends [came],” Kelce said. “We had [an] unbelievable crew, with us and hanging with us.”

He added, “And, you know, it was, it was fun, even though the [Guardians] couldn't pull it off, it was still an exciting, exciting game. And it was cool to see Yankee Stadium because I've always wanted to see that thing in person in a playoff game, in a hostile environment, and it didn't disappoint, man. The Yankees, the fans, the players, everybody involved, man.”
At the game, Kelce also took time to connect with a former teammate, Gehrig Dieter — who happens to be a lifelong Yankees fan.
“Yanks win. Memories of a lifetime with Gigi ❤️,” Dieter wrote alongside a carousel of images of his 3-year-old daughter from the game.
In one photo, Gigi posed with her dad and the “Fortnight” singer, 34, while in another, the toddler sat on Kelce’s lap.
Kelce and the Chiefs return to action this weekend in a Super Bowl LVIII rematch against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Oct. 20.
