Travellers Face Delays as Snow Closes Manchester Airport Runways

Passengers faced hours-long delays after runways were closed due to snow at Manchester Airport on Thursday, January 19.

Footage recorded by Instagram user Sudheer Gupta shows passengers trudging through snow on the tarmac on Thursday morning.

Manchester Airport said on Twitter at around 7:40 am local time that its runways remained closed due to a “fresh snow deposit” in the early hours of Thursday.
