Traffic Stopped as Cattle Pass Through Colorado Town

Local ranchers mustered their herd of cattle through Carbondale, Colorado, holding up traffic, on November 7.

Footage shared by producer and filmmaker Barry Stevenson shows the Hereford cattle moving through the town.

Stevenson explained that local ranchers herd their cattle from their summer pasture down to the historic cold mountain ranch where winter weather is more mild.

“Happily, the tradition lives on in the Roaring Fork Valley, where local drivers learn to park and wait for the bovine parade to pass,” Stevenson said. Credit: Barry Stevenson via Storyful
