Tour Ayesha Curry’s Stylish Atherton Family Home – Which She Designed Herself

Ayesha Curry is busy. On top of raising three children under the age of 10, she juggles a multi-pronged career that includes a Food Network show, two bestselling cookbooks, a new lifestyle magazine, a cookware line, several restaurants, and a role as a CoverGirl ambassador. Oh, and in her spare time, she also labors as a designer — Curry self-decorated the lavish interiors of the Atherton, Calif., mansion that she and her NBA All-Star husband Steph Curry purchased for $31 million last year. And now, for the very first time ever, the couple have unveiled their stylish home to the general public. To see the full story, head on over to Domino.

Built new in 2019, the multi-winged house is perhaps best described as a casually cool California contemporary, with towering walls of glass, an open-concept floorplan, and high-quality finishes. To polish and enhance that vibe, Curry selected a neutral palette — sophisticated shades of white, gray, and charcoal — infused with pops of maximalist style for the decor, a look she describes as “something beautiful that calms the spirit.”

A Hunt Slonem painting hangs in the living room, just above a curvaceous custom sofa facing two Kelly Wearstler Emmett Lounge chairs; the foyer sports an eye-catching grey-and-white sofa with matching pillows from Kelly Wearstler. Because Curry is also fond of throwbacks, she mixed a set of vintage stools set against a backdrop of blue marble countertops in the eat-in kitchen, which also offers a custom tile backsplash and architectural pendant lights hanging from the ceiling.

One of the home’s most glam spaces is the formal dining room, with its sultry black marble tabletop balanced contrasting with six Roxbury Dining Chairs and two Laurel Dining Chairs, both by Kelly Wearstler. Two sculptural coconut pods in a far corner additionally give the place a hint of an exotic vibe. Family meal time is important to the Currys, who established the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, which provides meals to needy families, and gives young people access to quality education. Amid the ongoing pandemic, the couple’s foundation has supplied more than one million meals to Oakland school children.
