Total Wipeout returning with Paddy McGuinness and Andrew Flintoff as hosts
Total Wipeout is set to return to the small screen in an effort to combat the UK's lockdown blues – but it won't be bringing back former hosts Amanda Byram and Richard Hammond.
Instead, the duo will be replaced by Top Gear favourites Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness, as they revisit some of the best clips from the popular show's three-year run before it was axed in 2012.

The new series – officially titled Total Wipeout: Freddie and Paddy Takeover – will run for six episodes. While there's no indication as to when it'll air, it's thought that the BBC is hoping to launch it later this summer.
"Now more than ever we need to laugh at people bouncing off those big red balls," Paddy recently explained to The Sun. "I'm so happy to be involved in bringing this classic show back."

Freddie seemed similarly excited, adding: "I can't wait to be involved with this brilliant show and to have a laugh watching people fumble with those balls."
Total Wipeout was based on a US series – simply called Wipeout – and saw contestants attempt to navigate a series of oversized and outlandish obstacles to make it to the final Wipeout Zone at the end of each episode.
Some of the famous faces to take part in celebrity specials included Dancing on Ice stars Joe Swash and Ian 'H' Watkins, and Loose Women favourites Andrea McLean and Kaye Adams.
