Heavy rainfall caused “life-threatening” flash flooding in parts of Alabama on Wednesday night, October 6, the National Weather Service said.
Video shared to Twitter by @Brandon_T_Green, who said it was filmed on Thursday morning after the flooding, shows thick mud in a back yard in Pelham, Alabama.
On Wednesday, Pelham officials said 82 people were rescued from their homes, and an additional 15-20 from their vehicles, by more than 100 emergency responders. Local schools were closed on Thursday. Credit: @Brandon_T_Green via Storyful
