Torrential Rain Causes Flooding in Northeastern Turkey

Heavy rain caused intense flooding in the northeastern Turkish provinces of Artvin and Rize on Thursday, July 22, prompting police rescues.

Two hundred people were evacuated from the region, according to reports.
